A. Constant drying stage

In this stage, the moisture within the material will rapidly spread to the surface, so that the material surface has a certain degree of moisture, chemically speaking, the material surface humidity is greater than the drying medium’s maximum moisture absorption capacity, so the drying speed of this stage depends on the vaporization rete of the material surface. During this stage, the heat exchange between hot airflow and material surface plays a dominant role. Therefore, at this stage to improve the temperature and flow rate of air, and reduce the humidity in the air will help to improve the drying speed.

B. Deceleration drying speed

As the material inside the drum during the drying continue to reduce the moisture content, the moisture content within the material will be less than the transfer speed rate of vaporization of the material surface, and also because the drying process will be subject to heat the material itself within the constraints of mass transfer , the drying rate of the material will become increasingly slow. In the deceleration phase, the key to increase the drying rate is no longer to improve the conditions of drying medium, but to improve the wet parts of the diffusion rate within the material problems.
