How to Solve the Common Faults of Spiral Classifier
Spiral classifier is one of the most extensive used mechanical grading equipment, and mainly used to classify the mineral particles according to granularity in metalliferous minerals washing process or used to desliming and dehydration in ore-washing operations. It often appears in the fault in the production process, while what is the reason and how to repair it? Now let’s have a brief talk about it.
Elimination methods: because of the abrasion between spiral spindle hole and the lower bearing is rotational, so the spiral spindle bore abrasion is round, and surroundings are relatively uniform. According to the special condition, our engineers match a steel Jacket with the spiral spindle hole, whose inner diameter coincides the lower bearing. Then weweld it on the screw hole, fix it in the steel sleeve, and fasten the shaft. In this way, we not only guarantee the axiality between spiral shaft and the lower seat, but also ensure the connection intensity
Reason of shaft’s breaking
( 1) strength is not enough: classifier hollow shaft is generally composed of thick wall seamless steel pipes, while the existing shaft type is made of 20# steel plate after which is bent into a half round, therefore strength is not enough;
( 2) technique reason: high concentration slurry causes severe scab in spiral blade and large outlet plate gap, then the broken iron ball debris into the classifier slot, which leads to the classifier slot and magnify the running load;
( 3) operation and maintenance reasons: un-thorough cleaning after the ball mill system stops causes material agglomeration; delay adjustment to improved production capacity.
Common fault – serious abrasion in spiral principal axis. The reason is that violating compasses operation (such as: restarting without lifting a lower seat) in operation process, or high strength grinding. Which result in the lower bearing cannot play a supporting role in the spiral shaft after the motor started to spiral part operation; The screw shaft generates torque with the lower seat that breach end cover in the lower supporting.
